About Maria:
Maria inherited a talent from her mother and grandmother, who’d been caring for her from the first days of Maria’s life. She got started with practice in painting art from early childhood, honing her mastery over the years. Maria’s paintings, created in authentic style of Hryhory Synytsia and Maria Prymachenko school is a tribute to the Ukrainian traditions, culture and history and a powerful sign of her unbreakable bond with her native land and nation. Maria’s first art exhibition happened in Dyrdyn village, Cherkasy Raion, Ukraine, when she was just an 8 years old child.
Maria practices different painting techniques in her works: watercolour, pastel, acrylic paint, but the preferable one is a fresco, made in coloured acrylic plaster.She mastered that style in 2010-2013 years. Since that time, her desire to create new artworks, inspired with ethnic mythology, native landscapes and culture, just become ever stronger. The first, commercially successful artwork is “A Rose” (60x80sm). For the 10 years, Maria has created in fresco technique more than 100 artworks, many of those have found their place in homes of art collectors from Europe and Ukraine.The latest works have been presented to the public in a Bucha Children's Clinic (bas-relief work in cooperation with A. Nedashkivska), Bucha Epicentr (more than 20 artworks) and on exhibitions of Kyiv city (about 15 artworks). Many of Maria’s works could be seen on the walls of different government and private buildings.
One one of remarkable works, created by Maria, is a “Alphabet for toddlers”, which includes 36 unique pastel paints. This collection gives to babies great ability to learn reading in joyful and attractive way, forms their ethnic bond and identity. This work was presented to public on “Ukrainian code. Alphabet”exhibition in August-September 2022 in Maria’s native region: towns Horodyszcze and Cherkasy, in addition it was exhibited in Bucha, the town where Maria has been living for many years. That work has been also published as a book for kids 3-5 years old for studying ukrainian alphabet.
